The Salvation Army's PMC-Central Virginia Area Command in Richmond, VA is seeking an Assistant Housing Manager to help run the Inclement Weather Shelter during evening shifts. You will support the Housing Manager with guest intake, shift coverage, recordkeeping, food service, and safety checks, while guiding Lead Housing Monitors and ensuring program guidelines are followed in a welcoming space for guests.

• Two years’ experience in security or social service preferred, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Trauma-informed, client-centered service approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Lead Housing Monitors and Housing Monitors.
• Completes required paperwork representing guest intake for the day; inputs data into the computer to maintain records.
• Monitors the activities of Shelter guests ensuring safety and compliance with program guidelines.
• Delivers trauma-informed, client-centered service to guests and staff.
