Job summary

New Life Center is seeking a Shelter Ministry Safety Worker to protect staff, guests, and property. You will perform security rounds, conduct intake screening, and respond to incidents with compassion and faith-driven service.

The role emphasizes ministry with safety training, accordance to our BEACON values, and collaboration with local partners. Shifts include 7 am–3 pm and 3 pm–11 pm, full‑time and part‑time opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in security, safety, or related field preferred.
• Ability to pass background check and pre‑employment screen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security rounds, inspections, and access control.
• Monitor cameras and alarm systems; report irregularities.
• Greet guests and supervise intake with compassion and professionalism.
• De‑escalate conflicts and assist staff to maintain a safe environment.
• Document incidents with accurate reporting and logs.
