Job summary

The African American Planning Commission is seeking a maintenance worker responsible for keeping facilities clean and healthy for clients and staff. You will perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to support safe, orderly operations.

As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will repair minor building issues, sweep and mop floors, handle deliveries, remove trash, and report safety concerns to supervision. Base salary is $37,856 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
• Ability to interact professionally with clients and staff.
• Willingness to participate in training and development.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain building facilities and equipment.
• Sweep and clean public and office areas.
• Assist in unloading and storage of deliveries.
• Remove garbage from interior canisters for street collection.
• Clean and wax floors.
• Report safety incidents to supervisors.
