VOA Colorado is seeking a Residential Advocate at the Southwest Safehouse to protect residents’ safety and support their emotional well-being. The role includes crisis intervention, supervision of volunteers, and coordination of intake and case notes.

Starting pay ranges from $20.30 to $22.02 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to impact vulnerable populations in the Colorado community. Applicants should contact [e-mail] for details.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in a related area.
• One year of human service experience.
• Direct experience with at-risk populations preferred.
• CPR/AED Certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide emotional and physical protection for residents within program guidelines.
• Assist with general client and house maintenance and enforce rules.
• Provide weekly individual counseling and assist clients in goal planning.
• Conduct primary intake interviews and determine admission suitability.
• Answer crisis line and maintain documentation of crisis referrals and contacts.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and participate in trainings.
• Observe daily client behavior and document notes; maintain shift logs.
• Ensure facility remains clean, safe, and orderly, with crisis intervention as needed.
• Supervise and train new employees and volunteers as assigned.
• Deliver educational presentations to community groups and participate in meetings.
• Maintain required paperwork and adhere to Social Work ethics.
• Incorporate guest feedback into program evaluation and improvement.
• Participate in on-call rotation with Advocates and Senior Management.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
