Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and six months of experience in handling or training animals.
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
• Must complete the Escambi­a County Animal Welfare training program within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and provide information to clients for adoptions and admissions.
• Enter data and maintain records on animals.
• Provide daily care for animals including feeding and water.
• Clean and disinfect animal cages, runs, floors and kennels.
• Handle animals in a humane and safe manner and report health concerns.
