Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience dealing with the public in a public setting is preferred.
• Valid driver's license from state of residence is required.
• Completion of Escambia Animal Welfare Officer Training program is required.

Responsibilities

• Responds to and investigates animal nuisance complaints or other violations of animal control laws.
• Assists the public by providing information regarding responsible pet ownership.
• Captures, handles, and transports stray or other animals as needed and assists law enforcement with cases.
• Prepares records and presents cases in court as required.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
