Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an on-site Training Operator responsible for hands-on training and certifying employees in the Structurals division in Portland, OR.

This role oversees qualification, provides feedback to supervision, and supports continuous improvement in training modules and criteria. The ideal candidate will hold current trainer certification or be eligible within 30 days, demonstrate strong communication and facilitation skills, and maintain a solid safety and attendance

Qualifications

• Current Trainer certification desired or Tat's certified within 30 days.
• Self-motivated and capable of high performance with little or no supervision.
• Must consistently rank in the top 20% in Project Team Build issues and show good work habits.
• No disciplinary action for Quality, Productivity or Behavior in the last 12 months.
• Willing to change departments/work with others in multiple departments as production needs.
• Outstanding performance in prior Training and Certification progression is desired.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions, make progress observations, and record technical data.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; directions must be clear.
• Good facilitation skills to teach individuals or small groups.
• Satisfactory attendance and safety record.
• Must have trained for at least 12 months in the prior 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Train and certify employees through the qualification and certification process.
• Perform module audits.
• Evaluate employees against certification requirements.
• Provide objective input for performance reviews and feedback.
• Support performance reviews and related feedback discussions.
• Create and revise training modules and written evaluations.
• Design and update skills demonstrations and certification criteria.
• Maintain records and conduct ongoing audits of employees and departments.
• Stay current on techniques in all aspects of interpreting.
• Contribute to maintaining a harassment/discrimination-free environment.
