Job summary

Precision Castparts seeks a skilled Metal Processor Trainer to lead hands-on training, oversee qualification and certification, and provide feedback to supervision. This role ensures audits, records, and up-to-date techniques are maintained with emphasis on fairness and safety.

You'll drive ongoing evaluation, participate in performance reviews, and support a harassment-free environment while coordinating across departments to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Current Metal Processor Trainer certification desired or within 30 days.
• Self-motivated with high performance and minimal supervision.
• Top-20% in project team builds; strong work habits and quality.
• No disciplinary action for quality, productivity, or behavior in 12 months.
• Willing to rotate departments and adjust shifts as needed.
• Proven ability to follow detailed instructions and record data.
• Strong verbal and written communication; clear directions.
• Good facilitation skills to teach individuals or small groups.
• Excellent attendance and safety records.

Responsibilities

• Train and certify Metal Processors.
• Progress new or transferred processors through qualification and certification.
• Perform module audits.
• Evaluate employees against certification requirements.
• Provide objective input for performance reviews.
• Avoid favoritism in training and certification.
• Training program support: create and revise modules.
• Establish and revise written evaluation criteria.
• Design and update skills demonstration for qualification.
• Maintain records of employees and departments.
• Conduct ongoing evaluation and random audits.
• Stay current on Metal Processor techniques.
• Support a harassment/discrimination-free environment.
