Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets in Duarte, CA seeks a Shelf Edge Coordinator to oversee pricing integrity, signage, and cycle counts. You will train and supervise the Shelf Edge team, ensuring planogram compliance and accurate perpetual inventory while upholding Vallarta’s values.

Responsibilities include updating tags, auditing pricing, maintaining WIC/COOL labeling, and partnering with departments to keep pricing current and compliant.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a supermarket or retail environment.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pricing systems, planograms, and inventory accuracy processes.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to train and guide team members.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations related to pricing and inventory.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Willingness to transfer to other store locations if needed.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Update shelf tags and signage across departments with promotions.
• Order and print shelf tags to maintain pricing integrity.
• Audit pricing, codes, tare weights; investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain WIC labeling and COOL compliance.
• Manage supplies and support other departments with shelf-edge tasks.
• Conduct perpetual inventory audits and support replenishment accuracy.
• Perform planogram audits and communicate changes to departments.
• Supervise and train Shelf Edge team members and set performance expectations.
• Schedule team members within budget and promote teamwork.
• Ensure safety, enforce policies, and address incidents promptly.
• Provide extraordinary customer service while upholding company pledge.
• Support other store departments and perform additional duties.
