Vallarta Supermarkets in Duarte, CA is seeking an Assistant Shelf Edge Coordinator to support daily pricing, signage, and product labeling across the store. You will help maintain planogram compliance, assist with inventory accuracy, and train teammates to ensure accurate tagging and customer-friendly service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly, customer-oriented personality with attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Ability to perform pricing and inventory calculations.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Minimum of 6 months’ retail or supermarket experience.

Responsibilities

• Smile and greet customers and team members while delivering extraordinary service.

• Support execution of shelf edge programs, including price changes and signage.
• Assist with ordering and creating shelf tags to maintain accurate pricing.
• Verify displayed items are accurately priced and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with CHOC/COOL? and WIC identification requirements.
• Confirm that sales and promotional changes are reflected in tags and signage.
• Support planogram audits and ensure products are properly labeled and placed.
• Conduct expiration date audits and rotate products as needed.
• Operate handheld devices and printers for pricing, tagging, and invoicing.
• Process invoices, credits, and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with perpetual inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve pricing or replenishment issues.
• Enforce company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
