Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets in Duarte, CA is seeking a Receiving Manager to oversee all receiving operations, ensure policy compliance, and maintain an organized warehouse. You will supervise, train, and support team members to achieve accurate inbound and outbound merchandise accounts.

Responsibilities include training staff, handling vendor relations, maintaining inventory accuracy, safety and sanitation, and upholding Vallarta’s values of customer service, integrity, teamwork, and respect.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of grocery warehouse operations.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage inbound/outbound merchandise and vendor processes.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and team members, modeling Vallarta’s six steps of extraordinary service.
• Ensure compliance with receiving policies, procedures, and security protocols.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate receivers and warehouse staff.
• Maintain accountability of all inbound and outbound merchandise, including containers.
• Safely unload merchandise and transport to stock areas using pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Review invoices and transfers; report discrepancies to relevant managers.
• Inspect received products and report discrepancies or quality concerns.
