Johnson Controls is hiring an entry-level to mid-level assembler helper to support machine operators in producing sheetmetal parts for air handling equipment and coils. You will assist with loading, labeling, stacking, and transporting parts, maintain clean work areas, and follow safety rules.

Forklift certification may be required in some departments; training can be provided. Experience with reading layout drawings and basic arithmetic is helpful, and the role emphasizes safety and teamwork in

• Read and comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Write information from layout drawings to parts.
• Add/subtract two-digit numbers; multiply/divide by 10s and 100s.
• No computer skills required.
• Forklift license required in some departments; must obtain within three months.

Responsabilidades

• Lifts, positions, and removes work-pieces from machines.
• Assists machine operator in loading and unloading machine.
• Labels parts and stacks them in the appropriate location in the proper orientation and with appropriate job routers.
• Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work in process by hand or truck.
• Collects tubes and parts required for building coils.
• Builds coil body (builds frame, inserts fines and tubes).
• Deburrs metal parts as necessary
• Picks up and trucks scrap from work areas.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Wears all required PPE.
• Trains new or existing employees, if necessary.
• Performs other routine duties.
• Responsible for reporting work related injuries and near misses to supervision.
• Responsible for wearing all required PPE and following applicable safety/environmental rules.
• Responsible for correcting or reporting unsafe conditions observed within the plant.
