Johnson Controls is seeking an entry-level manufacturing helper to assist machine operators in producing sheetmetal parts for commercial air handling equipment and coils. You will learn loading/unloading, labeling, and organization within a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities include handling materials, deburring parts, maintaining cleanliness, and wearing PPE. Forklift license is preferred in some departments and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Education/experience as described: less than high school or up to one month related experience or training, or equivalent combination.
• Language ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write information from layout drawings to parts.
• Math ability to work with dollars and measurements (two-digit numbers, tens/hundreds).
• Reasoning ability to follow simple instructions and handle standardized situations.

Responsabilités

• Lifts, positions, and removes work-pieces from machines.
• Assists machine operator in loading/unloading.
• Labels parts and stacks them correctly.
• Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work in process.
• Collects tubes and parts for coils; builds coil body.
• Deburrs metal parts; cleans work area and equipment.
• Wears required PPE and reports injuries or near misses.
• Trains new or existing employees when needed.

Formation
