Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos including safety rules and shop-floor paperwork.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic with money, weights, and measures.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions.
• Forklift license is required in some departments and can be obtained within three months.

Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators in loading/unloading and handling sheetmetal parts.
• Label parts and organize them with proper orientation and routers.
• Transport stock, tools, dies, and work in process within the plant.
• Assist in building coil bodies and deburring parts as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow PPE rules.
• Report injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions to supervision.
• Train new or existing employees when necessary.
