Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a team-oriented associate to assist machine operators in manufacturing sheetmetal parts for commercial air handling equipment and coils. You will help load/unload machines, label parts, and move stock and tools within the shop.

Responsibilities include building coil bodies, deburring metal parts, keeping work areas clean, and training new or existing employees as needed. Forklift licensing may be required in some departments; safety gear must be worn at all

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions and shop-floor paperwork.
• Perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction and unit conversions.
• Apply common sense to follow simple instructions with minimal variables.
• No computer skills required for this role in some departments.

Responsibilities

• Lift, position and move work-pieces from machines.
• Assist loading and unloading machines and equipment.
• Label, stack and orient parts with appropriate routers.
• Transport stock, tools and dies as needed.
• Assist in building coil bodies and related components.
• Perform deburring and clean work areas, machines and tools.
• Wear required PPE and report safety concerns.
