Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a production assistant to support machine operators in manufacturing sheetmetal parts for commercial air handling equipment and coils. You will help load, unload, label, and transport stock, ensuring proper orientation and workflow in a fast-paced plant environment.

The role requires reading basic instructions, following safety rules, and wearing PPE. A forklift license is required in some departments and must be obtained within three months.

Qualifications

• Education: Less than high school or up to one month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos (safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions).
• Forklift license required in some departments; must obtain within three months.

Responsibilities

• Lifts, positions, and removes work-pieces from machines.
• Assists machine operator in loading and unloading machine.
• Labels parts and stacks them in the proper location and orientation.
