This position involves depot level maintenance on various aircraft including, but not limited to, AV-8, C-130, C-2, E-2, EA-6B, F/A-18, H-1, H-53, H-60, MQ-8, P-3, P-8, F-35, and V-22. Military aviation platform experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft sheet metal duties such as disassembly, modification, repair, and reassembly of aircraft metal components, including bulkheads, airframes, wings, fuselages, skins, ribs, gussets, and fuel tanks.
• Analyze structural damage, develop patterns, and fabricate, install, and repair metal items using various metals like stainless steel, copper, magnesium, alloys, and aluminum.
• Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, protractors, gauges, squares, and rulers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Sheetmetal Mechanic (Aircraft Mechanic II); composites experience preferred.
• A&P license is a plus but not required.
• Experience in military fixed-wing or civilian heavy structure aircraft.
• Up to 25% travel may be required.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a secret clearance.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, crawl, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 44 pounds and operate various machinery and vehicles.
• Work may involve exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and working on uneven surfaces.
