Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner seeks an experienced journeyman sheet metal installer for commercial HVAC projects. You will read blueprints, measure, lay out fittings, and install duct work across diverse job sites, with apprenticeship training support and strict safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and prioritize safety above all.
• Understand blueprints and drawings.
• Lay out and install commercial duct work in various settings.
• Unload, move, and handle duct work.
• Finish and seal duct work to pass testing.
• Help train apprentices.
• Work at heights using ladders, lifts, or on roofs.
• Assist with installing commercial HVAC equipment.

Our Journey Sheetmetal Mechanics are skilled professionals that can install duct work, measure, lay out fittings, and other related materials in new or existing commercial construction jobs. Sheetmetal pros work with apprentices with minimal direct supervision, as they install various HVAC and ventilation-related components. At Comfort Systems USA Shoffner, skilled Journeyperson can grow as far as their talents will take them. We focus on continued education and cross-training.

Your pay: Depends on experience. Annual reviews and pay increases.

Your Tasks:

Experience:

• 4+ years of Sheet Metal installation experience.
• Ability to show required schooling and hours worked to be a Journeyman.
• A High School diploma or GED is required.

You need to be able to;

• Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry max of 60 lbs.

• Exercise motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.
