Comfort Systems USA Shoffner in Knoxville seeks a Journeyman Sheet Metal Mechanic to perform commercial HVAC duct installation with safety and craftsmanship as priorities. You'll work on well-managed projects alongside experienced foremen and crews.

Responsibilities

• Work safely with safety as the #1 priority.

• Unload, move, and handle duct work.

Your Tasks:

• To work safely no matter what. Safety is our #1 priority.

• Lay out and install commercial duct work in a wide variety of job settings.
• Unload, move, and handle commercial-scale duct work.
• Properly finish and seal duct work to pass testing.
• Work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roof.
• Assist with installing commercial HVAC equipment.

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years of commercial sheet metal installation experience
• Journeyman-level training or documented field experience
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork

You need to be able to;

• Keep it a Drug-free Workplace.
• Be punctual and reliable.
• Work as a team.
• Work in extremes of heat, cold, bad weather, indoors and outdoors.
• Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry max of 60 lbs.
• Willing to be cross trained in different trades.
• Work well in confined spaces.
• Work above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
• Exercise motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.
