Job summary

Dover Food Retail seeks a Machine Operator II – Sheetmetal in Keosauqua, IA to operate brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders, and deburring machines. You will read blueprints, measure parts, and ensure parts meet specs while feeding the kitting department.

You will maintain equipment and cleanliness, follow safety protocols, and work as a team to meet production targets in a 2nd shift. Prior sheet metal experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• Proficiency with measuring tools and precision inspection.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication equipment preferred.
• Strong teamwork and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in the sheet metal department, including brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders, and deburring machines.
• Fill part requirements to complete rounds for the kitting department.
• Read rulers, tapes, squares, and other measuring tools; follow written and verbal instructions.
• Read blueprints and work orders; perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor machine operations; adjust controls to maintain specifications.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
