Job summary

Dover Food Retail (DFR) in Keosauqua, IA is seeking a Machine Operator II – Sheetmetal to set up and run sheet metal equipment, read blueprints, and supply parts to upstream departments. The role requires operating brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders, and deburring machines, with attention to measurement accuracy.

You will perform proper maintenance checks, verify dimensions, and maintain a safe, clean work area while collaborating with team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Proficient with handheld tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to operate sheet metal equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders and deburring machines.
• Fill part requirements to complete rounds for the kitting department.
• Read rulers, tape measures, squares, protractors and other tools; follow instructions.
• Start machines, adjust controls and perform trial cuts as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area; follow safety protocols.
• Work at multiple stations as production needs require.
