Job summary

West Star Aviation in Cedar Hill, TX is seeking a Structures Technician (Sheetmetal) to inspect and repair aircraft structures on-site. You will read blueprints, work from drawings, and fabricate components with attention to safety and quality.

The role requires drilling, riveting, cutting, sealing, and finishing on airframe components, using brakes, riveters, shears, and related tools. HS diploma required; A&P welcome; 0–5 years for Journeyman, 5+ years for Master, with strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Airframe and Powerplant license is not required, but welcome.
• Journeyman: 0-5 years of experience as sheet metal technician.
• Master: 5+ years of experience as sheet metal technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic sheet metal operations such as drilling, riveting, cutting on airframe components.
• Apply and remove sealant, sound deadening and finish materials.
• Maintenance, cleaning and repair of shop facilities, equipment and tooling when required.
• Safely operate shop equipment such as brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools.
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
