Job summary

Phoenix Color, a company of Lakeside Book, is hiring a Material Handler 2 on the 1st shift in Terre Haute, IN. Starting pay ranges from $18.45 to $18.95 per hour, with a $1.00 night differential; higher pay up to $22.80/hour is listed. Hours are 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday, at 1116 College Ave, Terre Haute.

You will move rolls, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and assist pressroom operators while maintaining safety and cleanliness. Benefits and growth opportunities are described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 45-70 lbs and push/pull up to 1100 lbs with a pallet jack.
• Stand for 12 hours in varying conditions and maintain safety.
• Basic math, reading and measurement skills required.
• Attention to detail, organization and teamwork are essential.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are expected.
• Preferred: forklift/pallet jack experience and a HS diploma.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain rolls for machines.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other PIV equipment.
• Package and stage products for the pressroom.
• Assist operators as needed.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and safe.
• Prepare recyclable waste for transport.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
