Job summary

Phoenix Color, a Company Of Lakeside Book, is seeking a Material Handler 2 in Terre Haute, IN. The role supports press operations by preparing and maintaining rolls, operating forklifts, and assisting pressroom staff.

Schedule 3:00pm–11:00pm, Monday–Friday. Starting pay is $18.45–$18.95 per hour with a $1 night shift differential and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, forklift/pallet jack experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 45–70 lbs and push/pull up to 1100 lbs with a manual pallet jack.
• Comfortable standing for 12-hour shifts.
• Attention to detail and teamwork.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining rolls for machines
• Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other PIV equipment
• Packaging and staging products for the pressroom
• Assisting operators as needed
• Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe; preparing recyclable waste for transport
• Following all safety policies and procedures

Pay Grade Rage: $18.45 - 22.80/hr (+$1.00/hr Night Shift Differential) Based on experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Preparing and maintaining rolls for machines


• Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other PIV equipment

What It Takes:

• Ability to lift 45–70 lbs and push/pull up to 1100 lbs with a manual pallet jack


• Comfortable standing/walking for 12-hour shifts in varying conditions


• Basic math, reading, and measurement skills


• Attention to detail, organization, and teamwork


• Strong verbal and written communication


• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent + 6–12 months of forklift/pallet jack experience
