Job summary

Sheridan in Stevens Point, WI is seeking a manufacturing operator to set up and run the sheeter, mount rolls, and adjust sheet size. You will monitor production, perform quality checks, document usage, and assist with maintenance and housekeeping while supporting a team-focused culture.

Responsibilities include following production run instructions, cross-training on other machines, and upholding safety policies and attendance standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques to maximize manufacturing efficiency.
• Basic mechanical and math skills required.
• Ability to read measurements and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Type II forklift certification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and records.
• Adherence to safety policies, procedures, and work rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up shearer to review job order, mount rolls, configure sheet size, and program equipment.
• Follow pre-production and production run tasks per instructions.
• Operate and tend the sheeter and monitor operations for malfunctions.
• Inspect equipment, identify defects, and report issues for resolution.
• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping as assigned.
• Cross-train on other machines and support continuous improvement initiatives.
