Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Assistant Sheeter Operator to join our production team, helping set up, operate, and maintain sheeting equipment while ensuring quality and efficiency.

You will work closely with the Lead Sheeter Operator, retrieve stock, load rolls, inspect sheets, and support continuous production in a fast-paced plant environment. Safety, accuracy, and teamwork are essential, with day and night shift options available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to perform measurements and basic calculations.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, safety-focused manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with measurement devices (tape measures, micrometers).

Responsibilities

• Support setting up, operating, and maintaining the sheeting equipment.
• Load paperboard rolls onto the sheeter and assist with roll breakdown and waste management.
• Inspect sheets for conformance to work orders and make adjustments as needed.
• Monitor equipment performance and address issues to maintain productivity.
• Prepare pallets for shipment and assist with continuous production activities.
