Independent Printing & Packaging is seeking a qualified Press Operator to join our press team. You will operate sheet-fed presses, manage make-ready tasks, and ensure production runs meet quality specifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of press experience with sheet-fed presses.
• Experience operating large sheet-fed press equipment preferred; training available.
• Strong color, register, and consistency performance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Problem solving and troubleshooting ability; self-motivated team player.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Clear communication and ability to follow instructions; work autonomously.
• Proven ability to maintain high production rates and quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate presses and manage daily press operations.
• Load and unload press.
• Review job ticket for size, quantity, color, stock.
• Perform make-ready and running on press machines with inks/coatings.
• Detect and report defective material, product, and conditions.
• Ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate transport equipment to move skids of paper.
• Communicate issues to team members.
• Maintain work area and equipment; perform maintenance as required.
• Follow safety processes and procedures.
