Job summary

Veritiv Corp is seeking a Second Press Operator to support the press room with make readies, equipment operations, and quality control. The role requires ability to work nights/weekends and lift up to 50-75 pounds with team collaboration.

You will read job tickets, verify stock and ink, and maintain color consistency while following SOPs and safety policies. This is an on-site position in Chicago with opportunities for routine maintenance and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must have 2–4 years of experience as a Second Press Operator.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a crew.
• Willing to work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Press Operators with press make ready and operate press based on written instructions.
• Perform folder set ups and maintain press register and color.
• Read and understand job tickets for stock and color specifications.
• Verify that stock and ink match job specs on ticket.
• Perform quality pull sheet procedures according to SOPs.
• Ensure samples are pulled and labeled according to SOPs.
• Ensure each job is produced to customer specifications, meeting deadlines.
• Follow all safety policies and regulations.
• Assist in routine maintenance on the press with the press team.
