Job summary

Veritiv is seeking a 2nd Press Operator to support the press room with make readies, press equipment operations and quality control. You will follow written instructions to run presses and ensure accuracy of color and stock according to job tickets.

Responsibilities include assisting with make readies, performing routine maintenance with the press team, and meeting customer deadlines while adhering to safety policies. High school diploma preferred and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Second Press Operator (2–4 years).
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist Press Operators with press make ready and operate press based upon written instructions provided.
• Perform folder set ups and maintain press register and color.
• Read and understand job tickets for stock and color specifications.
• Verify that stock and ink match job specs on ticket.
• Perform quality pull sheet procedures according to Orora press SOPs.
• Ensure samples are pulled and labeled according to Orora press SOPs.
• Ensure each job is produced to customer specifications, meeting internal and external deadlines.
• Follow all safety policies and regulations.

• Assist in performing routine maintenance on the press with the press team members as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
