Here's your opportunity:

This position involves fabricating, forming, and deburring sheet metal. You will set up and operate complex fabricating machines, maintaining tolerances as specified on blueprints and following routing sequences. Adherence to safety and quality standards is essential.

This is a 2nd shift position, hours are 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm.

Here's how you'll contribute:

• Operate brake presses to bend, cut, and manipulate materials into specified shapes
• Study and interpret blueprints or plans and take careful measurements of materials
• Understand equipment setups
• Proficiently use applicable computer programs and scanning operations
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures for the department
• Use department-specific tools and measuring equipment proficiently
• Understand product packaging procedures and labeling
• Meet productivity expectations
• Work from Bill of Materials / Print Shop Paper
• Complete Industrial Lift Certification as needed
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives
• Help resolve production issues
• Understand and engage with department metrics
• Follow scrap out procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Here's why we want you:

High School diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of sheet metal experience. Vocational school education is a plus. Must have fundamental knowledge of fabricating machine operations and shop practices, usually acquired through on-the-job training. Requires basic shop math, blueprint reading, and the ability to use various measuring tools.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands include talking, hearing, standing for extended periods, and regularly lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision.
