Reporting To

Engineering Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings.
  • Visualizing and calculating metal shapes and tolerances.
  • Designing jigs and templates to support part fabrication.
  • Setting up and operating grinders, mills, lathes, drill presses, and other tools.
  • Cutting and shaping blocks to specified dimensions.
  • Grinding carbide, fitting, and assembling parts to create, repair, or modify dies, jigs, and gauges using machine and hand tools.
  • Assembling and disassembling tools and die parts to support production, ensuring timely repairs to maintain continuous manufacturing and productivity.
  • Inspecting tools and dies for defects, performing repairs, and conducting test runs.
  • Supporting continuous improvement programs (5S, SMED, KAIZEN).
  • Participating in tooling efficiency and scrap reduction projects.
  • Following SOPs for die repairs, maintaining detailed records, and entering data into SAP.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and Journeyman Tool and Die Maker Certification.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker.
  • Experience with progressive stamping operations, carbide lamination, forming dies, and die sensing/protection.
  • Proficiency with metalworking tools: drills, mills, grinders, lathes.
  • Deep troubleshooting skills in die operation and assembly.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and handle carbide tooling safely.
  • Experience with quality control analysis and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, scales, height gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Extensive metallurgical knowledge and understanding of metals' properties.
  • Solid shop math and trigonometry skills.
  • Strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Legal work authorization for employment in the US.
