Job summary

The Epta Group is seeking a Sheet Metal Supervisor for the 2nd shift to oversee daily operations, coordinate resources, and drive efficient production. You will work with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and ensure quality outputs.

This permanent role includes access to training through our academy and a flexible working approach where feasible. We value strong organizational skills, a bachelor’s degree in business or operations, and hands-on manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Operations Management or a related field.
  • Experience in operations management or related roles is beneficial.
  • Experience in administrative roles where organizational and coordination skills are utilized is valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations within the unit, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and deadlines are met.
  • Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support operational activities and projects.
  • Ensure resources are utilized effectively and in alignment with organizational goals and budget constraints.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members within the unit, as well as with other departments or external stakeholders.

Job Purpose:

Overseeing and coordinating the activities and resources within a specific unit or department within an organization.

Experience:
  • Prior experience in operations management or related roles is beneficial; experience in administrative roles where organizational and coordination skills are utilized is valuable
  • B achelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Operations Management or a related field
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations within the unit, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and deadlines are met
  • Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support operational activities and projects
  • Ensure resources are utilized effectively and in alignment with organizational goals and budget constraints
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among team members within the unit, as well as with other departments or external stakeholders
  • Organize and manage documentation such as schedules, reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant materials
  • Support the training and development of unit staff by providing guidance, resources, and assistance as needed
  • Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and other learning opportunities to enhance skills and competencies within the unit
  • Collaborate with other units or departments to meet customer needs and deliver quality services
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of projects or initiatives within the unit, working closely with project managers and team members to achieve objectives
  • Collect and analyze data related to unit operations, performance metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, or efficiency gains within the unit
