Job summary

Champion Metal Works is seeking a skilled Shop Fabricator to fabricate, assemble, and modify sheet metal components per engineering drawings and production requirements. The role requires operating fabrication equipment safely and maintaining high quality and productivity while supporting a team environment.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of fabrication experience, proficiency with blueprints, and a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Proficient reading blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Experience operating fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, rollers, ironworkers, and welding equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic shop math.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components per drawings and production schedules.
• Interpret blueprints, shop drawings, sketches, and work orders to determine fabrication requirements.
• Independently operate fabrication equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Measure, mark, cut, form, and prepare metal materials with accuracy.
• Inspect completed components to ensure quality and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues and support maintenance of equipment.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team to meet project deadlines.
