Structured Trades is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Shop Mechanic to join our commercial construction team. The role focuses on fabricating, assembling, and preparing sheet metal components for projects, while maintaining quality, accuracy, and safety.

You will read drawings, measure and cut materials, and operate fabrication equipment to ensure components fit correctly and meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• 5 years commercial construction or HVAC sheet experience.
• Ability to read measurements and basic shop drawings.
• Previous sheet metal fabrication or mechanical shop experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to lift and handle sheet metal and materials.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components for commercial construction projects.
• Measure, cut, bend, drill, and assemble sheet metal according to drawings and specifications.
• Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely.
• Read and follow shop drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
• Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and proper fit.
• Work closely with projects and field teams to meet production schedules.
