Job summary

Novolex in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Sheet Metal Operator for the Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm shift in a climate-controlled environment. You will fabricate sheet metal products, operate the NC Laser, and ensure conformance to blueprints and job orders.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of sheet metal fabrication experience in manufacturing, with hands-on setup of shears, brakes, benders, rolls and drills. The position offers increasing pay with tenure and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years sheet metal fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates NC Laser.
• Fabricates sheet metal products and equipment accordance to job orders, blueprints and/or schematic diagrams.
• Bends, cuts or alters various grades of sheet metal according to product being fabricated and knowledge of sheet metal.
• Sets up and operates shears, brakes, benders, rolls and t-drills.
• Inspects, assembles, and adjusts equipment to ensure conformance with specifications.
