Job summary
Jensen Metal Products Inc. in Racine, WI is seeking an experienced CNC Fiber Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team.
This role sets up, operates, and maintains CNC fiber laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality sheet metal components safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate reads blueprints, performs quality inspections, troubleshoots production issues, and helps maintain machine performance to meet schedules.
Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC fiber laser equipment in manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment
- Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes
- Proficiency with measuring tools and quality inspections
- Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, metric conversions)
- Ability to use computerized machine controls and manufacturing software
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC fiber laser cutting equipment
- Review work orders and blueprints for accurate production
- Load, unload, and stage raw materials
- Monitor machine performance and quality
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
- Troubleshoot machine and production issues
- Document production activity and material usage
- Communicate status and concerns to supervisors
