Job summary

Dover Corporation is seeking a Machine Operator II - Sheetmetal to operate sheet metal equipment and support upstream departments with parts. The role requires reading blueprints, following work orders, and maintaining equipment.

You will measure parts and ensure accuracy, while keeping a clean, safe work area and adhering to safety protocols. The operator will adjust machines, perform trial cuts, and monitor processes to maintain spec conformance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and work orders.
• Proficiency with measuring devices (calipers, rulers, tapes).
• Team-oriented and able to learn quickly on the floor.

Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal equipment (brake presses, lasers, punches, sanders, deburring).
• Fill part requirements for kitting; read rulers and measuring tools.
• Follow blueprints, work orders and written/verbal instructions.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling.
• Inspect finished parts for conformance to specs using gauges.
