Job summary

Dover Food Retail is a leading manufacturer of Display Cases and refrigeration systems. The Machine Operator II – Sheetmetal role supports upstream departments by fabricating sheet metal parts and operating brake presses, lasers, and other equipment in a fast-paced plant environment.

You will read blueprints, set up machines, measure parts with calipers and gauges, perform basic preventative maintenance, and ensure parts meet precise specifications while maintaining a clean, safe work area and

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Proficient with handheld tools and measuring devices.
• Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal equipment including brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders and deburring machines.
• Read and follow blueprints and work orders to complete parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling.
• Verify finished workpieces against specifications using calipers, gauges and rulers.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area and support other stations as needed.
