Job summary

Evapco in Taneytown, MD is seeking a Day Shift Sheet Metal Operator to perform basic sheet metal machine operations, read production orders and shop drawings, and participate in safety and quality initiatives. Shift is 5am-3:30pm with 10-hour days.

You will support continuous improvement, learn new skills, and help maintain a safe, productive work environment while contributing to team objectives and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Basic Sheet Metal machine operations; cutting, breaking, and sorting of parts.
• Meet or exceed safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity targets.
• Attend training courses as directed by management.
• Must be able to read Production Orders & understand shop drawings.
• Familiar with common hand and power tools.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
• Must be able to read Production Orders & understand shop drawings

Job Qualifications:

• Basic Sheet Metal machine operations; cutting, breaking, and sorting of parts

• Meet or exceed annual safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity targets
• Attend training courses as directed by management
• May perform other duties, as assigned

• Ensures adherence to company policies and work rules, as well as insuring a safe work environment is maintained
• Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude
• Strive to continually improve quality, safety, 5-S, and productivity within your areas of responsibility
• Understanding and proper use of tape measure within 1/32”
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
• Must be able to read Production Orders & understand shop drawings
• Familiar with common hand and power tools

Physical Requirements:

• Manufacturing and outdoor environments
• Continuous standing, sitting, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday
• Lifting of 50 lbs or more with assistance; two-person lift or mechanical
• Wear PPE when required
• 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday

Pay Range:

$46,700.00 - $70,262.40 per year
