Evapco, Inc. is seeking a Sheet Metal Operator for the night shift (4pm-2:30am). You will perform basic sheet metal machine operations, read production orders, and support quality, safety, and 5-S initiatives. Training and team problem solving are part of the role, with emphasis on attendance and a positive attitude.

The position operates in a manufacturing setting requiring physical stamina and adherence to PPE and safety policies. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Basic sheet metal operations and part handling.

• Read production orders and shop drawings for accuracy.

• Use tape measure within 1/32 inch and basic math.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Job Title:

Sheet Metal Operator

Shift:

Night Shift, 4pm-2:30am

Job Qualifications:

• Basic Sheet Metal machine operations; cutting, breaking, and sorting of parts
• Participate in team and shop business problem solving activities that include quality, safety, scrap reduction, and process improvements
• Meet or exceed annual safety, quality, 5-S, and productivity targets
• Attend training courses as directed by management
• May perform other duties, as assigned
• Willingness to learn
• Ensures adherence to company policies and work rules, as well as insuring a safe work environment is maintained
• Maintain excellent work attendance
• Maintain a cheerful and positive attitude
• Strive to continually improve quality, safety, 5-S, and productivity within your areas of responsibility
• Understanding and proper use of tape measure within 1/32”
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Basic shop math (i.e. add/subtract/divide/multiply, whole numbers and fractions)
• Must be able to read Production Orders & understand shop drawings
• Familiar with common hand and power tools

Physical Requirements:

• Manufacturing and outdoor environments
• Continuous standing, sitting, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday
• Lifting of 50 lbs or more with assistance; two-person lift or mechanical
• Wear PPE when required
• 10-hour shifts, Monday-Thursday
