TriMas Company LLC in El Cajon, CA is seeking a Sheet Metal Mechanic I (First Shift) to set up and operate precision sheet metal equipment and fabricate assemblies from light gauge material. The role requires standing, lifting, and accurate work to meet engineering drawings and tolerances.

The position is onsite in El Cajon, CA, full-time hourly with benefits. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of sheet metal experience, blueprint reading skills, and proficiency in math and trigonometry,

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in precision sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to fabricate parts from sheet metal across various materials and tooling.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and maintain tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheet metal equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Run a job from start to finish and own the first article.
• Develop first run parts and assemblies.
• Apply math and trig to layouts and measurements.
• Use precision hand tools and measure with high accuracy.
