Job summary

Sonaca North America is seeking a Sheet Metal Lead for 2nd shift to direct daily sheet metal fabrication, provide OJT, and enforce safety and quality standards. The role supports the Production Manager, coordinates workflow, and fosters a safe, efficient work environment.

Experience in manufacturing, ability to read blueprints and work orders, and strong organizational and communication skills are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
• 2+ years in production/manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of production processes and equipment.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and job orders.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate daily sheet metal fabrication activities.
• Provide On-the-Job Training and enforce safety and quality standards.
• Schedule activities and monitor workflow for productivity.
• Lead team meetings and participate in corrective action.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized work environment.
• Develop production schedules and coordinate with supervisors.
