Job summary

TriMas Company LLC in El Cajon, CA seeks a Sheet Metal Lead for second shift to supervise daily operations and mentor the team on the shop floor. This on-site, full-time role requires coordinating tasks, training staff, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

You will liaise with the Supervisor, allocate assignments, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvements while staying hands-on most of the time. ITAR considerations apply.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Allocate tasks based on staff skills and workload.
• Provide training and mentorship for team members.
• Monitor performance, drive productivity, and improve quality.
• Facilitate communication between team and Supervisor.
• Resolve conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
• Prepare reports on performance and project progress.
• Suggest and implement workflow improvements to reduce costs.
• When needed, support meetings during Supervisor absence.
• Remain hands-on in operations at least 80% of the time.
