Job summary

Modigent is seeking an Assistant Superintendent - Sheet Metal to oversee on-site sheet metal projects, including HVAC ductwork fabrication and installation. You will supervise field crews, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence across commercial sites.

Responsibilities include material takeoffs, coordination with fabrication, site surveys, and close collaboration with the Superintendent to meet project goals and client expectations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in field supervision or assistant superintendent in sheet metal or HVAC.
• HS diploma or GED preferred; additional trade education is a plus.
• OSHA 10/30 preferred; journeyman certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on heights; travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise on-site sheet metal project functions, including crew management and scheduling.
• Troubleshoot duct fitment, airflow, or installation issues and propose solutions.
• Conduct site surveys, report findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform material takeoffs and support procurement for ductwork and related components.
• Review drawings and shop drawings with the Superintendent after procurement.
• Ensure safety compliance and document incidents; enforce PPE usage.
