Job summary

Modigent seeks a Service Retrofit Foreman I - Sheet Metal to lead field crews completing commercial HVAC retrofit and sheet metal installations. Focus is on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, working with superintendents and project managers to coordinate scheduling and on-site execution.

You will ensure accurate ductwork modifications, equipment retrofits, and system installations, while mentoring crew members and driving project profitability across nationwide operating companies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of field experience in commercial HVAC/sheet metal installation, retrofit, and service.
• Universal EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Certification required.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a sheet metal crew on daily retrofit and service tasks (ductwork modifications, replacements, installations).
• Coordinate scheduling with superintendents, customers, and internal teams; provide daily project status updates.
• Read, interpret, and execute work from blueprints, specifications, and scope documents.
• Oversee installations, retrofits, and replacements of HVAC equipment and ductwork; ensure codes and SMACNA standards compliance.
• Manage on-site functions: crew assignments, material coordination, timecards, and daily logs.
