Job summary

Modigent is seeking an Assistant Superintendent - Sheet Metal in Placentia, CA to support on-site execution of commercial HVAC sheet metal projects. You will coordinate field crews, review drawings, and ensure work meets safety, quality, and schedule requirements under SMACNA guidelines.

Responsibilities include supervising daily activities, coordinating with subcontractors, managing material takeoffs, and assisting with startup and close-out documentation while upholding our safety-first

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in field supervision within commercial sheet metal or HVAC ductwork
• Education aligned with construction trades is preferred
• Certifications such as OSHA 10/30 are a plus and a valid driver’s license is required

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in planning, coordinating, and supervising on-site sheet metal project functions
• Coordinate with shop/fabrication teams for production scheduling and field integration
• Review drawings, specifications, and shop drawings with the Superintendent
• Ensure safety programs, codes, and environmental requirements are followed on site
• Support material takeoffs and procurement for sheet metal ductwork and related components
• Monitor daily crew performance and maintain project documentation
