The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for laying out, fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal components used in industrial and energy-related systems. This role requires interpreting technical drawings, operating fabrication equipment, and producing high-quality components that meet company standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.Position ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specificationsMeasure, mark, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand tools and fabrication machineryOperate fabrication equipment such as shears, press brakes, rollers, plasma cutters, and CNC machinesAssemble and fit sheet metal components according to design requirements and tolerancesExperience installing g-rib metal panelsExperience operating a metal roll former machine and installing snap lock standing seam exterior metal panelsApply various types of insulation into customer specific enclosures.Perform welding, riveting, fastening, and sealing as requiredInspect finished products to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specificationsCollaborate with engineers, welders, millwrights, and other trades to complete projects efficientlyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all company safety policies and OSHA regulationsPerform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on tools and fabrication equipmentSupport installation and integration of fabricated components into larger assemblies as neededSafely operate construction vehicles – Forklifts, telehandlers, scissor lifts, manlifts, skid steerRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentMinimum of 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related tradeAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsExperience operating fabrication tools and machineryFraming/Carpentry ExperienceBasic math and measurement skillsKnowledge of welding processes (TIG, MIG, or stick) is a plusMust be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)Must successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screeningDesired QualificationsTechnical training or certification in sheet metal fabrication or a related fieldStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsExperience working in an industrial or manufacturing environmentFamiliarity with CNC fabrication equipment and automated processesAbility to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teamsStrong attention to detail and commitment to precision workmanshipAbility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities
