Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking an experienced Steel Fabricator/Fitter to join our team in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

You will read shop drawings and blueprints, lay out and assemble structural and miscellaneous steel components, and perform welding as required. The ideal candidate has hands-on fabrication experience, strong measurement and layout skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous professional steel fabrication/fitting experience required.
• Strong ability to read and understand fabrication drawings and blueprints.
• Proficient with tape measures and fabrication/layout tools.
• Knowledge of structural steel components and fabrication practices.
• Experience using grinders, saws, drills, torches, and other fabrication equipment.
• Welding experience required.
• Ability to perform accurate layout and fit-up without constant supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings.
• Lay out, fit, and assemble structural and miscellaneous steel components.
• Measure, mark, cut, drill, grind, and prepare steel for fabrication.
• Fit components accurately according to drawings and specifications.
• Perform tack welding and welding as required.
• Operate common fabrication equipment and power tools safely.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Identify and correct fabrication or fit-up issues.
• Maintain an organized and safe work area.
