Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. is a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of agricultural equipment seeking a Manufacturing Engineer focused on sheet metal fabrication.

You will develop and optimize fabrication processes for structural steel and sheet metal components used in equipment such as spreaders and mowers. You will design jigs, fixtures, and tooling for plasma/laser cutting, bending, forming, and welding, and drive lean initiatives to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in sheet metal fabrication.
• Good 3D CAD skills, preferably Creo.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and optimize fabrication processes for structural steel and sheet metal components.
• Design and improve jigs, fixtures, and tooling for plasma/laser cutting, bending, forming, and welding.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean tools to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework.
• Collaborate with product engineering on design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Program or support CNC plasma/laser cutters, press brakes, and robotic welding cells.
• Conduct time studies and capacity analyses to support production planning and equipment utilization.
• Support capital equipment projects, including machine selection, layout, and installation.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for fabrication quality or equipment issues.
