Job summary

ITW in Oregon is seeking a mechanical drafter to design equipment and metal components, focusing on function, cost-efficiency, manufacturability, and quality. You will work from 2D/3D models to generate flat pattern sheet metal parts for laser cutting and press brakes.

Collaborate with manufacturing, design, sales, and management; review blueprints, interpret specs, and ensure compliance with UL, NFPA and other codes.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or CAD training required.
• Minimum 2 years mechanical drafting experience.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D/3D designs and flat pattern sheet metal parts from models and blueprints.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, design, sales and management teams.
• Ensure designs meet function, cost-efficiency, manufacturability and quality standards.
